How to get to the conference
We will meet at Cook’s Branch Conservancy. The address is
7720 Mitchell Rd, Montgomery, TX 77316.
From IAH, you can take an uber for approximately 60-70$. From College Station you can either take an uber (around 100$) or join one of the locals who can give you a ride.
Accomodation
You will stay in one of 12 cabins. After your arrival please check the list in the main building (Fire Meadow Lodge) where you will find a list with the assigned cabins.
Meals
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be served at the Fire Meadow Lodge. Here is the planned menu:
Tuesday dinner
- appetizer:
- smoked fish and salad
- main course:
- Boeuf Bourguignon with tiny white onions, vegetables and roasted potatoes
- dessert:
- bread & butter pudding with sultanas
Wednesday lunch
- main course:
- salmon with fresh herbs, leafy greens, bread
- dessert:
- baklava
Wednesday dinner
- appetizer:
- cold soup made of fresh tomatoes and peppers, with garlic and various spices
- main course:
- beef fillets, to be served with ratatouille and boiled potatoes
- dessert:
- poached pears in chocolate sauce port, cheese and a cake
Thursday lunch
- main course:
- chicken in light curry sauce, rice, vegetables
- dessert:
- pineapple, icecream
Thursday dinner
- appetizer:
- sauteed shrimps with garlic and parsley
- main course:
- roasted or barbequed leg of lamb, salad, roasted potatoes, roasted zucchini
- dessert:
- fruit salad (mangos, peaches, nectarines)
Breakfasts
cereals, bread, bacon, sausages, eggs, coffee, tea, milk, soya milk if required, yogurt, butter,
marmalade, jam, honey, fruit salad
Outdoor activities
Cook’s Branch Conservancy offers many opportinities for nice walks or even boat trips. You will have time to explore before the talks in the moring or after lunch.
